Congratulations to the England team for winning the World Cup.
In the exciting final of my bathtime World Cup, England beat India by a close 92 goals to 91.
All players received a gold medal and some chocolates.
Special mention goes to Beautiful Silver Fish, the captain of the Indian team, for excellent play and for not breaking any bones. On the England squad, Jake and Divery played particularly well, as did Fat Hippo. I am very proud of them, and there was no messing about (unlike the French team!).
Note to editors: the alternative World Cup was played in Eben's bath every night from the beginning of June until July 19th. It involved teams from all countries of the World. Further press enquiries should be directed to Poisonous Tree Frog or Diver Polly.
